Hi guys!
How is everybody?
I know, it has been a long time since I wrote a journal but I'm here to make it up to all.
On the my latest journal I told you about my adventure of becoming blonde and that it turn out good but not what I wanted.
This time I got exactly what I wanted.
I decided to go to one of those shop that sell hair salon products and bleach my hair at home again.
I went to a store here in Portugal and the lady that first talked to me was really nice.
She explained everything to be and I was surprise at how easy it really i. It just takes a bit of knowledge and that need to do your homework before you get into something like this.
I bought a bit of the Bleaching power and of the Oxidant to do a "Strand test". I totally advice you to do it cause that way you can see how your hair will react without risking lose it in the process. It worked so well that I went to the store again to buy the supplies that I need it. Funny though, what really worried me were the yellow tones in my hair that I was afraid I wouldn't be able to take. While doing my research and seeing a lot of video of girl's you have done it like me I learn about the "Toner". For those who don't know, when you go blonde and have to bleach you hair, the best way to get rid of the yellow tones and the same time have a more natural color is using a Toner which practically is dying your hair with some blonde color. This color thought is especially for this affect. I used the lightest one they had.
The products were amazing and made me regret doing it with dye boxes like I did in my first attempt.
After 1 hour with the bleaching in my hair, this was the result:
samuraimoon.deviantart.com/art…You can see the yellow tones right? But still the difference in color from my first bleaching is drastic, to say the least. Lol
Three days later I put on the toner. You have to wait a few days... On my first try I didn't and my scalp was itching and burning, it was driving me crazy!
Don't get me wrong... it still itch and burned but in a tolerable way... ^^
I saw the difference right after rising and blowing dry my hair:
samuraimoon.deviantart.com/art…The ends of my hair are still a bit yellow but it really tone down. Now I look a more natural blonde! Lol
The whole thing was a success and when a few weeks ago I went to the store to buy the supplies to retouch my roots I also found out that I don't need to bleach my roots every month to retouch them. All I need is the Toner and a stronger Oxidant! Ain't that amazing.
My hair is amazing and in wonderful condition! I was so excited that I needed to share the information with someone so I made two tutorials about it.
I record them in Portuguese because when I did my research I couldn't find one single video of my country with products that I could find here... I saw a hole and decided to fulfill it instead of waiting for someone else to do it.
For the Portuguese Deviant Art folks out there you can go to my YouTube page to see them.
In the mean time and artistically wise, I redone all the backgrounds for the blog I dedicate to the Portuguese Actor Diogo Amaral
anjos_do_diogoamaral.blogs.sap… and also I enter a competition for the new logo of "Festas de Lisboa" (Lisbon Festivities).
samuraimoon.deviantart.com/art…I had a tone of ideas but not a lot of time to make them come true. I found out about it 5 days prior to the deadline so even though I could have enter with 2 more drawings I end up only sending one.
Still, I have one that I didn't finish but I certainly will for next year.
I was happy to be part of it cause it allowed me to let my creativity go lose for a while.
The more creative stuff I do the better.
I'm gonna work on some videos and some acrylic canvas cause I've been slacking a bit.
Also I have a few projects that are just in the discussing phase so I'm not gonna say anything until is certain.
I need to do something creative to live. I really do. My problem is that there are so many different things that I like to do that I haven't been able to find a way to do them all and earn money with it. ^^
Until then gonna keep on getting busy... with stuff I love cause if I don't I would die.
Kisses to all!
